By becoming a National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) member, you're joining a community of professionals leading the future of the chimney, venting and hearth industry. NCSG Members offer a network of support and knowledge through benefits like the Technical Advisory Council line or a database of long-lost manuals. NCSG also provides industry-leading education and certification programs, allowing you to demonstrate competency and confidence to your clients. And finally, NCSG hosts the industry's largest gatherings of Chimney sweeps at the NCSG Convention and Chimney Expo.

Member Types

  • Voting Members: Any qualifying chimney service company. Voting membership entitles the company to one (1) vote in NCSG elections (voter must be designated representative who signed the Code of Ethics). 
  • Supplier Member: Any sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation which manufactures and/or supplies goods and/ or services to the chimney service industry shall be eligible for membership in the Supplier Member category.
  • ​Dual Member: Chimney service/supplier company combination membership. Note: Dual Members must also sign the NCSG Code of Ethics for Service Companies. 
  • Affiliate: Includes non-chimney service companies and groups affiliated with the industry which are also not defined as a Supplier Member. 
  • International: Non-voting membership for chimney service companies outside of the United States.
  • Retired: Non-voting membership for retired sweep company owners who still wish to maintain fellowship in the industry. Includes significant discounts on convention registration.
