Micro-Mentorship Roundtable Program

Connect | Learn | Build

What's this all about?

We get it - knowing the right people and having great connections is a major key to the success of any individual or business. But how do you accomplish this? Making connections can be difficult, especially in a spread-out, national group of chimney and hearth professionals. That's where we come in!

The NCSG Micro-Mentorship Roundtable Program helps Guild members share knowledge and ideas while fostering a connected, helpful, and thriving community. This program aids less experienced members in gaining expertise and building a professional network while also allowing experienced members an opportunity to share their wisdom.

What is Micro-Mentorship?

Micro mentoring is a short-term mentoring relationship featuring opportunities that can last a few hours, a few days or could be as long as a few weeks. With a little preparation for each session, this format will deliver significant insight without a long-term commitment. This low-commitment format allows us to accommodate more members' needs and connect event more mentees and mentors over multiple sessions.

How does the Program Work?

The NCSG Micro-Mentor Roundtable Program will provide at least one two-hour Micro-Mentor Roundtable Session each quarter. During this session, attendees will be divided into multiple roundtables organized by topic to discuss their questions or concerns in relation to the assigned topic. Each roundtable will be led by an experienced mentor. In addition to gaining the mentor's feedback, attendees may interact with peers in the industry who are likely facing the same issues in their businesses across the country.

All interested mentors and mentees need to complete a mentorship application, including their topic preferences. Roundtable matches will be determined based on these topic preferences. Each Session will include three 30-minute timeslots per topic. Thus, each mentee may discuss multiple topics per Session.
